POV: You are in Delta Gamma

The Gamma Zeta chapter is a home for members of Delta Gamma at Louisiana State

University. Each girl affiliated with the chapter has a unique experience in this sisterhood, but all can agree that the chapter has made their college experiences phenomenal. To give you some insight on what it is like to be a part of our chapter, here are some perspectives from a few of our members!

“The friends I have made thus far in Delta Gamma bring out the best in me with everyone truly being genuine, making the house a home away from home for me. Walking into the Delta Gamma house is like breathing fresh air knowing that you are surrounded by people who only want the best for you. I cannot imagine a life without the people I have met in Delta Gamma.” - Shaina Shulin, Member Class ‘21.

“Delta Gamma has felt like home since I got to ‘run home’ for Bid Day. The girls welcomed me with open arms, and I was overwhelmed with love for my new sisters. I experienced a deeper appreciation and love for the chapter throughout this last year as I entered the race for LSU Student Body President. As a freshman, I didn’t know a single soul on this campus, and I couldn’t fathom winning an election on a campus of over 35,000 students. But the women of Delta Gamma were continuously by my side, uplifting me in my pursuit to Do Good on campus. My sisters have encouraged me to push myself academically, put myself out there, and pursue leadership opportunities both within and outside the chapter. When I officially decided to run for Student Body President, I knew I would have the support of my DG sisters. They supported me every step of the way, through the highs and the lows. Delta Gamma is my home because I know that no matter what, I have the support and encouragement I need to

achieve anything I set my mind to and that I can always go to anyone in the chapter, and they will help me. - Anna Cate Strong, LSU 2023 Student Body President

Gamma Zeta is a place where girls can grow and build a bond of sisterhood that supports them in their everyday life. To be a Delta Gamma at Louisiana State University is to uphold high ideals of friendship, undergo personal growth, and instill the importance of service in those around you. Each member experiences a uniquely transformative journey in their years of being a member of Gamma Zeta, and the sisterhood created at LSU extends far beyond the years each woman spends as a collegiate member!
