This year’s Delta Gamma team for Dance Marathon raised $6,844.08 for Children’s Miracle Network.

Dance Marathon at LSU is a philanthropic event in which students provide funds and awareness for children care/treatment for children in the local community who are sick or injured.

Aleigh Solar, freshman and member of the DG dance marathon team, was the highest fundraising dancer raising $2,046.07. She wanted to participate in Dance Marathon in order to be a part of something out of her comfort zone, but also allowed her the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life. She believes that a little goes a long way and is a reminder that you are not alone in your journey.

Aleigh embodies Delta Gamma values by giving back to the community. How do you give back you yours?

Thank you to everyone who participated in Dance Marathon and doing good in the community!
