For homecoming, sororities pair with fraternities in a competition to build and decorate the best pomp structures on the row. Pomps refer to the colored paper tightly rolled into balls and glued onto a structure to make a design.

This year, Delta Gamma was paired with FIJI to create a structure that appropriately fits the theme: Geauxing Back in Time. The directors for homecoming, Lexie and Caroline, began preparing for homecoming weeks before the event. The result was two jaw-dropping 3D structures. One features newspapers that take a tour of LSU’s victories over the years. The other depicts Mike the tiger calling “Tiger bait!” to the Florida ‘gator from behind the memorial tower.

Thank you to Lexie and Caroline for all your work in putting together the structures and the homecoming event!
