Sara Morgan

Meet Sara!

President

I chose DG because, from the moment I stepped through the doors of Delta Gamma during recruitment, it felt like such a relief and a breath of fresh air. I immediately felt the comfort and peace of knowing I could be my authentic self and would always be uplifted and supported by the women around me. The last (almost) three years of being in Delta Gamma have been the most inspiring, heartwarming, spontaneous, and joy-filled years of my life. College is such a transitional time of your life, and finding the people who make college feel like a home away from home is the biggest blessing.

What's your major?

Interdisciplinary Studies with minors in Communication Studies, Sociology, and Social Work!

If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why?

If I could live anywhere, I would choose Madrid, Spain. I did an exchange study abroad program during my freshman year of high school, during which I got to live with a family and go to school in Madrid for two weeks. I wasn't ready to go home after immersing myself in the culture and meeting so many incredible people. This past summer, I went back and stayed with the same girl I lived with almost 5 years ago (and is now one of my best friends) and frolicked around the city for 10 days. I would absolutely live there if all of my friends and family came with me!

What is your dream job?

My dream job is to continue as an assistant wedding coordinator after graduation and completing my undergrad! I’ve been an assistant wedding coordinator since I was 16 because my mom’s best friend has her own wedding coordinating business based in Baton Rouge, so it’s been an incredible way for me to get involved in the wedding industry from such a young age. It’s so magical to be part of the most special day of someone’s life, and the people working in the industry are so full of positivity and love!

What's your favorite television show/series?

Gilmore Girls!

Favorite restaurant in Baton Rouge?

Carrabba’s Italian Grill

What's your favorite DG event?

I honestly love our weekly chapter meetings when we all come together and be updated about what’s happening in our community. It’s also so nice to have a designated day during the week for all of us to get together and see what our sisters have planned through their positions. :)

Best piece of advice for a PM going through recruitment?

The best advice I have for a PNM going through recruitment is to pay attention to how the conversations and women in each house made you feel. The week can be long and tiring but also insightful and exciting, and it’s important to reflect on your experience and see where you feel you can relax, take a deep breath, and truly feel heard and seen by the women in that sorority.

If you could pick one word to describe your Delta Gamma sisters, what would it be and why?

Authentic. From my very first moments spent in Delta Gamma during recruitment to now, every interaction I have with my sisters is sincere and genuine, and every woman is authentically herself. It is so beautiful to see the unique and beautiful individualities that each member brings to our chapter, and every woman’s authenticity shines through in all that they do. It is the greatest blessing of my life to witness the bonds and connections we have with one another and see how my sisters impact the lives around them and our community.

Best piece of advice for a PM going through recruitment?

The best piece of advice I could give a PNM going through recruitment is to choose a sorority that does not resemble who you currently are, choose a sorority that helps you grow into the woman you want to be.

If you could pick one word to describe your Delta Gamma sisters, what would it be and why?

Authentic- the women in Delta Gamma are the most sincere women I’ve ever met. Each woman carries herself with such poise, grace, and dignity and has her own unique set of values that permeate her being. Every woman I have met in Delta Gamma is distinct and individual but when together, forms the most cohesive team. The women have a gift of making you feel seen, heard, and loved. I can’t even begin to express how cherished I feel when I’m with my Delta Gamma sisters. They understand me in a way that no friend ever has and show me what true, authentic friendship looks like.

Best piece of advice for a PM going through recruitment?

Go into it with a completely open mind! I knew close to nothing about any house and it made the experience so much more authentic and real. Also, once you start the actual recruitment process, really take a look at the women in the houses you visit and ask yourself if you can see yourself growing into the best version of yourself if you were to be surrounded by women like them!

If you could pick one word to describe your Delta Gamma sisters, what would it be?

Priceless- They have encouraged and given me more than I could have ever imagined or asked for. They're friendship to me is truly priceless!

Going into recruitment, I knew I was looking for a group of women who loved to serve their community and each other side by side. I wanted a place that would allow me to grow and push me to be the best version of myself. Delta Gamma went above and beyond these expectations. I met women who inspire me to be better to this day, and even after only talking to them for a short time during recruitment, I knew that I could always count on them to be by my side.Going into recruitment, I knew I was looking for a group of women who loved to serve their community and each other side by side. Letter from the President

Hi!

Welcome to Gamma Zeta’s chapter website! My name is Sara Morgan, and I have the pleasure of serving as Delta Gamma’s 2025 Chapter President! I was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, just fifteen minutes from Tiger Stadium and our historic, beautiful campus. I graduated from the Episcopal School of Baton Rouge in 2022 and knew I wanted to stay close to family, the unique culture of the South, and the city I love, and that made choosing LSU for my undergrad an easy choice. Alongside leading our chapter, I am an Interdisciplinary Studies major with minors in Communication Studies, Social Work, and Sociology. My dream after graduation is to become a wedding coordinator, and I have been working as an assistant wedding coordinator for the last five years!

Although Baton Rouge has always been my home, finding my people to make a large campus like LSU feel like a second home initially felt daunting and overwhelming. However, I knew college would be the perfect time to push myself to step outside my comfort zone and grow into the best version of myself, and I wanted to take that first step by registering for recruitment. Immediately upon walking through the doors of Delta Gamma, I felt a sense of relief and peace wash over me. I could clearly envision myself wanting to be more like the women I spoke to by the end of my four years of college, and I knew I would be encouraged by the women around me to grow into the person I was meant to be. Delta Gamma instantly became my second home and has inspired growth and positive change in every aspect of my life.

Our beautiful chapter facility is located on the LSU Lakes and filled with a community of sisters who come together in their love for serving their community and each other. We are all eagerly awaiting the completion of renovations to our chapter house later this year. I am ecstatic to live in the house and create countless unforgettable memories with my sisters! I feel infinitely blessed to lead a group of women who embody what it means to “Do Good,” our Delta Gamma motto. Each member’s dedication and passion for serving our LSU and Baton Rouge communities inspire me daily. Delta Gamma has provided countless opportunities to form lifelong memories through service, community events, and quality time with our sisters. I am comforted and overjoyed to know that the friendships and memories I have created through Delta Gamma will last a lifetime. Geaux DG and Geaux Tigers!
